Bethany Joy Gaelotti, TV mom Haley James Scott on One Tree Hill, tweeted that she had just received the script for season 9, episode 1 and provided a photo of the script. Considering that the series had completed season 8 without any cliffhangers and had left things in such a way that fans of the show wouldn’t be left feeling like they were robbed of a solid series end should the show not get renewed; getting a ninth season is a more than pleasant surprise.

Gaelotti’s tweet was also confirmed by the CW website that One Tree Hill would return in Spring 2012 for a ninth and final season.
