Emil Armin (1883-1971) – Romanian-American Chicago modernist and a graduate from Chicago Art Institute – is most famous for her oil painting, printmaking and wood sculpturing. She liked to spend much of her time painting and carving in New Mexico and the Indiana Dunes. She fell in love with nature as she came to experience it so remarkably in the Indiana Dunes.
