Thunderstorm knocks out power in central Oklahoma
As many as 3,000 customers were without power in the area near the intersection of Interstate 35 and Interstate 40, and about 2,300 west of Interstate 44 along I-40 during the early evening. More than 850 were without power in El Reno during the height of the outages, according to the OG&E SystemWatch Web site.
Strong winds and lightning strikes were responsible for downed power lines in the areas of SW 15 and Pennsylvania Avenue and SW 29 and Blackwelder Avenue, according to emergency responder's radio traffic.

EL RENO, Okla. -- El Reno police have released a sketch of a man wanted for questioning in connection with several crimes.
Posted to its Facebook page , the city of El Reno added a note to the sketch indicating that the man was "wanted for questioning concerning a kidnapping and impersonation of officer by displaying a badge to the victim." Police said the incident occurred on June 25 in El Reno. The person in the sketch is described as a white male, about 33 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He has short dark hair, a medium complexion and some acne scarring on his face. Anybody with information should call El Reno police.
