Deleting Duplicate Songs from Creative Media Source - Nomad ...

Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.

Just this morning I've downloaded Easy Duplicate Finder AND Duplicate File Cleaner. Duplicate File Cleaner I found to not be free so it will be deleted. I figured out how to use Easy Easy Duplicate Finder and it looks to find and delete duplicates but of course it stresses that you use caution. It shows you the extensions of every group of duplicates but I'm weary so I haven't completed the process. I know within Creative MediaSource there is an option to clean up the Library Database but it doesn't give you any Advanced Options (ie delete duplicates). If anyone has any suggestions of knows of a program that works, please let me know. I'll be very thankful, trust me, because having so many unnecessary files that do nothing but use space is quite annoying. Lastly, for some reason MediaSource wouldn't let me import my latest playlist...said something along the lines of "we have uncovered one or more unrecognizable files so we won't import any" This is the 1st time that ever happened so of course I was shocked. Even after reinstalling I ended up importing the playlist to WMP. I had to rollback to 9 because 10, 11 wouldn't support my device, ugh. So anyway, I set up everything, and the files looked to be transferring just as they would in Creative MS...BUT...when I looked under Playlists it was no where to be found. My next instinct was to look in the overall library and sure enough the files and been copied not as an all-in-one playlist but individual files (why I have duplicates). This has happened before when I tried to use RealPlayer to do the transfer, so can you only transfer playlists to the device via MediaSource???
