Christmas in July: The 34th annual Old Mission Montessori School “Christmas in July” Artisan Fair and Carnival with 150 artisan booths, kid’s zone, auctions, farmers market, rummage sale, food vendors and more than a dozen rides kicks off with the carnival July 8 and continues through July 10 at 4070 Mission Ave. in Oceanside on the grounds of the Mission San Luis Rey Parish. A Festival of Surf Music: A free concert series celebrating the crossroads of surfing and music as part of Summer on the 101 is July 8 and 9 in Leucadia. July 8: Bands will play at Lou’s Records starting at 6 p.m. and Ducky Waddle’s starting at 7:30 p.m. featuring The Fink Bombs; Space Nature; Mattson 2 and Aloha Radio. July 9: The concert is noon to 8:30 p.m. at Leucadia Roadside Park with a second stage at Surfy Surfy, starting at 8:30 p.m. and a lineup including Starfish; Alejandro’s Awesome Surf Band, Glen and the Boys and Slacktone.
